En la medianoche del domingo al lunes 11 de marzo, se celebró la 96º edición de los premios que concede la Academia de Hollywood, conocidos como los Oscars. El presentador de la gala, por cuarto año, fue Jimmy Kimmel.
Entre las actuaciones pudimos ver a Billie Elish cantando “What Was I Made For?” de Barbie, “Wahzhazhe” de los asesinos de la luna por Scott George y los Osage Singers, Jon Batiste interpretó “It Never Went Away” de American Symphony, Becky G. cantando el tema de la película Flamin Hot: la historia de los Cheetos picantes “The Fire Inside” y Ryan Gosling el “I`m Just Ken” de la divertidísima Barbie, rodeado de un multitudinario cuerpo de baile de Kens. Homenaje a los dobles de acción y coordinadores, el In Memoriam y no faltaron los discursos reivindicativos sociales y políticos.
